A top airline required a way to verify that flight attendants could speak the appropriate languages on international flights well enough to provide proper customer service and safety information.

A publisher of children's books needed to convert hundreds of books created for American readers to books suitable for Middle Eastern readers.

Our Solution

ALTA provided a solution that consisted of job studies to identify the specific language skills and levels required to perform each job, testing to verify the current language skills of each employee, customized language training to improve the skills, and documentation review to identify language simplification.

Our Solution

Language translation was not the only issue in ALTA's solution. Graphics required modification both for cultural content and for adapting to Arabic. Of course, ALTA also adjusted the layout so that the books reflected the right-to-left text of Arabic.
