Corporate Programs - Train-the-Trainer
If your organization has a large number of people to train in Accent Reduction and American Culture, ALTA's Train-the-Trainer Program is a cost-effective way of creating an internal training capability.
An ALTA-Certified Teacher will train your trainers to teach American Accent Reduction using ALTA methods and materials. The program results in your trainers becoming Certified-ALTA Accent Reduction Trainers. You also are authorized to copy and use ALTA materials in your internal training.
ALTA provides continuing support for assessments and online materials.
Group Size
Group sizes range from 2 to 20. Larger groups can be accommodated but reduce the amount of teacher-student interaction that each participant experiences.
Program Length
Face-to-face programs should be five days with an option for the participants to take some individual accent reduction telephone sessions with a teacher.
Program Locations
U.S. - Programs are available at your location or at our training center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Outside the U.S. - Programs are available at your location.
Group Composition
The group members should all come from the same first-language group.
Training Process
First the trainer candidates are given the ALTA Group Accent Reduction Training Program using ALTA's Group Training
Process. The optional American Culture program can be included in the training.
Next, the trainer candidates are taught how to teach accent reduction using ALTA's Group Teacher's Manual.
Finally, the teacher candidates demonstrate that they can successfully teach a Group Accent Reduction Program under the guidance of the ALTA teacher.
Materials
Each student receives a lesson book of all ALTA Accent Reduction Lessons, access to the online homework, the ALTA Group Teacher's Manual and ALTA classroom materials.
Trainers
All trainers are ALTA-Certified Accent Reduction Teachers.
