Translation Service Descriptions
Regardless of how a source document is created, ALTA can translate the content into any number of languages. While most of our translations begin or end in English, we also handle direct translations between non-English languages (e.g. translating a contract from German to Spanish). We have experts in most languages for legal, financial, medical, technical, software, business, marketing and copy-writing projects. All of our translators and editors are full-time professional linguists with native fluency in the target language. Regular projects include brochures, manuals, newsletters, contracts, patents, help files, ad copy, package copy, labels, websites, and multilingual web banners. Most work is priced on a per-word or hourly basis. Minimum charges may apply for some projects. Quotations are free.
Software and Website Localization
For help files, software, and websites, ALTA provides full localization services to prepare your message for an international audience. Beyond basic translation, these services include turnkey services to:
- internationalize your software or website
- rework and test your code and scripts
- localize the GUI
- translation of all database-driven content, static content, meta tags, GUI elements, etc.
- testing on a native-language platform

Multilingual Desktop Publishing
ALTA provides turnkey desktop publishing services for most languages. Once your translation is complete, we'll take your original files and artwork, and return them to you ready to print. Voice Talent, Video Captioning and Subtitling
ALTA provides foreign language voice talent in many languages. Talent can be provided in your studio or we can turnkey the complete project. If your job requires multilingual video captions or subtitles, please contact us to discuss the specifics. Most work is priced on an hourly or per-page basis. Minimum charges may apply. Quotations are free.
Linguistic Name Evaluation
ALTA evaluates new product, service, umbrella brands and company names for potential problems in the languages and cultures being targeted. Beyond a simple "thumbs-up, thumbs-down" report, clients receive a thorough discussion of the linguistic issues that surfaced and a detailed discussion of each name candidate.
