While there is no single template that can be applied to all translation projects, for printed pieces, whether contracts, brochures, package inserts, etc., this basic process is followed.

  • Intake: Client provides all materials and objectives
  • Evaluation: ALTA quantifies work and identifies language issues
  • Proposal: ALTA creates proposal and secures sign-off from client
  • Glossary: ALTA creates glossary for problem terminology
  • Translation: ALTA translators create culturally sensitive translations
  • Editing: ALTA editors review the work and resolve issues
  • Proofreading: ALTA proofreaders make one final pass over the documents
  • Client Review: Client contacts review and ALTA makes any changes
  • Desktop Publishing: ALTA completes desktop publishing for each language
  • Quality Control: ALTA project manager QCs the final deliverables
  • Delivery: Project delivered to client
