The foreign language diversity in LA seconds to none, with the demand for media and document translation into languages like Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese and Japanese increasing as exports to the East increase. According the US Census Bureau 2010 American Community Survey, 39.4% of the population in Los Angeles speak Spanish, followed by a significant population of LA residents of Asian heritage speaking Chinese, Tagalog, Korean, Vietnamese and Armenian. The foreign language diversity in LA demands for media and document translation into these languages as exports to the East continue to increase. When it comes to translating materials for the Los Angeles Hispanic audience, ALTA is mindful of the linguistic cultural nuances that apply to Mexican Spanish as compared to Central and South American Spanish. Along the same lines, we address the literal and intentional translation from English to Asian languages, maintaining accuracy throughout with native language translators only.
